Welcome to the 9th annual West Virginia VEX U Qualifier - one of the largest VEX U events in the world!
We are excited to return to the West Virginia University Student Recreation Center.
The WV VEX U qualifier is a collaboration between the West Virginia Robotics Alliance and WVU Statler College of Engineering & Mineral Resources.

The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

12:00 PM: Doors open; inspection begins
1:00 PM: Drivers’ meeting
1:30 PM: Qualification matches begin
5:00 PM: Dinner break
6:00 PM: Qualification matches resume
7:00 PM: Elimination matches
8:00 PM: Awards
Skills Challenge fields will be open during qualification matches, breaking for dinner and closing for the day before elimination matches.

Judging Format
All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.
