Welcome to the LHS Aerial Drone Competition Tournament!
This competition is on December 11, 2024, and is open to High School and Middle School Aerial Drone Competition Teams.
Competition Preparation
This event is sure to be fast-paced and exciting. All teams should come prepared for the competition. Here are a few steps that every team should take to ensure that they are prepared:
Remember to bring the following:
- Drone and remote
- Goggles/Safety Glasses
- Spare parts & tools
- Batteries and chargers
- Programming cable
- Power strip
- Laptop computer
- Competition Logbook
Remember that safety comes first.
- NO flying outside of designated areas.
- The first violation of this will remove you from judged awards.
- The second violation will result in asking the team to leave.

Skills Challenge Offered: Yes
Judging Format: All In-Person Judging
We will accept only paper copies of log books submitted at Team check in.
Lunch will be provided to teams, coaches, and volunteers.
Please note: This event is located in the North Central Region which includes:
USA: Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Ohio, Wisconsin
Canada: Manitoba, Ontario, Nunavut
Please note: Only teams that are a part of the North Central Region are eligible to earn invitations to Regional Championships from this event. If your team is from outside this region, you may attend the event and will be eligible to earn awards and post scores to the global skills rankings, but will not be eligible to qualify for a Regional Championship from this event.

Volunteers are always needed. We have many different needs from simply sitting at a table checking people in to being a ref or a judge.
No prior experience is needed. Judges and Referees will be trained through online webinars.

If the weather makes you late for the event or prevents you from attending, please immediately contact Natasha Olsonawski by phone on the day of the event and by email before the event.
If the event is canceled due to weather or any other unforeseen circumstance, it will be posted here on this event website.
Refund and Payment Policies
If the Event Partner cancels the event: If the event cannot be rescheduled, the Event Partner will refund the registration fees minus the REC processing fees.
If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event and then chooses to withdraw or not attend: Refunds may only be issued if the coach/mentor sends an email two weeks before the event. There will be no refunds for teams who withdraw two weeks prior to the event or do not attend the event.
