2585: Major SG7 Violations

JHAWK
27-Feb-2025

SG7 states:

All Violations of this rule (Major or Minor) will result in the Autonomous Bonus being awarded to the opposing Alliance.

The definition of a major violation is as follows:

Major Violation – A Violation which results in a Disqualification. ० Unless otherwise noted in a rule, all Match Affecting Violations are Major Violations.

Does this mean that major SG7 violations do not result in a disqualification from the match? Or is losing the autonomous bonus in addition to being disqualified from the match?

Furthermore, if major SG7 violations are not a disqualification, would it be considered a G1 violation to intentionally violate SG7 for strategic purposes such as to secure both positive corners during autonomous.

If a Head Referee rules that an <SG7> Violation was intentional, strategic, or egregious as described in the 2nd Violation Note for that rule, the offending Team should lose the Autonomous Bonus, be ineligible for an AWP, and receive a Major Violation and Disqualification for the Match. The Head Referee may also give them a <G1> Violation if they broke the Code of Conduct through their <SG7> offense.
