<SC5>Have attended three events. The definition of mobile goal being placed in the corner has been different. At one, placed was touching a floor tile, breaking the plain of the tape. At another, placed was touching the floor tile behind the tape line and breaking the plane. Pictures in the manual would indicate the first of the two was correct, but the other, where only the floor tile behind the tape line was counted was a signature event. Which one is correct.<SC5>

Official Q&A: VEX V5 Robotics Competition 2024-2025: High Stakes
2321: SC5 clarification please
A Mobile Goal is not required to be in contact with the specific portion of the Floor or tape line that defines a Corner in order to be considered Placed. Clause A of rule <SC5> is met if the Mobile Goal base (any part other than the Stake and its flexible top) is "contacting the Floor or a white tape line"; contact with any part of the Floor or any white tape line is enough to satisfy Clause A.
As shown in the changelog in the Prefix of the game manual, rule <SC5> was revised in the September 3 game manual update. Events that ran before that update used a different set of criteria for Placed Mobile Goals.
