R7 states:

R7 VEX products come from VEX Robotics or VEX Robotics Resellers. Official VEX products are ONLY available from VEX Robotics & official VEX Resellers.

R6 states:

R6 Robots are built from the VEX V5 system. Robots may be built ONLY using official VEX V5 components, unless otherwise specifically noted within these rules.

  1. Given that R7 states that Offical VEX products are "ONLY" available from VEX Robotics or official VEX Resellers, are parts obtained from other sources still considered "Official" vex products, if they are identical?
  2. If the answer to #1 is no, then are products purchased from other teams considered "Official" VEX products, if they are otherwise identical?
  3. If the answer to #1 or #2 is no, then are these products not legal for competition use by R7?
