You need to create an account before you can register. If you have not paid for the slot then you have not registered them for the camp. You must complete the survey during/after registration.

 

This event is hosted and supported by Grand Forks Public Schools.

This event is open and available to anyone from anywhere who can make it to Grand Forks not just to students from GFPS.

The camp is designed for students entering grades 4-8 and will utilize the VEX IQ control system.

The focus of this camp will be to learn the rules of the 2024-2025 VEX IQ game and then take concepts learned in the intro building camp and create a robot to compete in the game.

A snack will be provided each day as well as a free t-shirt to wear on the last day.

Agenda

Specific topics to be determined

Students should not arrive before 12:45 each day.

Students will be ready to pick-up at door 1 by 4pm each day.

Snacks will be provided each day.

Monday - Wednesday

1:00 - 2:20 First Lesson

2:20 - 2:40 Break

2:40 - 4:00 Second Lesson

Thursday

1:00 - 2:30 Final robot test and prep

2:30 - 3:30 Mock competition to showcase robot builds. Parents are invited to come see the results from the week.

3:30 - 4:00 Robot teardown and organization

Once student robots/kits are torn down and put away properly students may leave for the day.
