DC VRC teams!

WELCOME to the Capitol City Robotics FALL VEX Robotics Competition

DETAILS

  • This event will be held in-person

  • Interview Judging will be held in-person

  • Notebooks will be judged remote - Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact on RobotEvents.

  • We will hold 5-7 rounds of Teamwork Challenges along with Skills

  • There will be a practice table

  • Food will NOT be served at the venue, please make arrangement with your team to bring or order food 

LOCATION - CHANGE 

  • Friendship Collegiate Academy Early College High School, 4095 Minnesota Avenue, NE, Washington, DC 20019
    • (Directly across the street from Minnesota Ave. subway station -orange line)
  • There is limited parking in the rear of the school. There's additional (paid) parking in the metro parking garage off Minnesota Avenue behind the DC Government office building.

SCHEDULE

  • Our event will be held from 8am to 4pm, teams should plan to arrive between 8-9am for inspection
  • Doors are open at 8am and Inspection will start at 9:00 am 
  • If a team does not show up, the timed schedule must be changed to reflect the teams present
  • The times are tentative and your team may perform earlier or later, please check the schedule once you arrive.

Refund and Payment Policies

Teams who have not paid by the payment dealing will be moved to the waiting list

If the Event Partner cancels the event: Refunds will be issued 

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event and then chooses to withdraw or not attend:  Please reach out [email protected] 

Please note refunds will not include the $5 RobotEvents processing fee.

Judging Format

Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions:  Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact on RobotEvents. The submission deadline for this event is by midnight on 1/31/204. 

Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the event.
