Code of Conduct

The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

For more details, please refer to the REC Foundation Code of Conduct and Student-Centered Policy. If you have concerns about compliance with the Code of Conduct, please speak to the Event Partner during the event.

Agenda

7:00 am – Doors open to public

7:00 am – 8:30 am – Inspections

8:30 am – 8:45 am – Drivers Meeting, Judges meeting, Match Schedule distributed at the End of Drivers Meeting

8:45 am – 9:00 am – Opening Ceremony

9:00 am – 11:30 pm – Qualification Matches

9:00 am - 11:30pm - Skills Challenge

11:30am- 12:00 pm – Alliance Selection

12:00 pm – 1:00 pm – Lunch Break/Alliance Strategizing

1:00 pm – 2:30 pm – Eliminations & Awards

2:45 pm – 4:00 pm – Event clean up

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event: 

             refunds will be given unless other circumstances apply.

 

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:

              This is case by case, but in general:             

                           If your registration prevented someone else from registering, you may not receive a refund.

                           If a team is able to take your place, you will probably get a refund.

                           If it is an emergency or weather prevents you from coming, you will probably get a refund.

Payment is due by September 22 - if a team has not paid by this date, they will be moved to the waiting list and others may take their spot.

Judging Format

All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges
