This event is held in the Lawrence High School upper and lower cafe's. There is plenty of space for parking, the public is welcome to attend free of charge. We'll have concessions for snack and lunch.

Code of Conduct

The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

For more details, please refer to the REC Foundation Code of Conduct and Student-Centered Policy. If you have concerns about compliance with the Code of Conduct, please speak to the Event Partner during the event.

Agenda

7:30 am: Doors open to teams, preparation
7:30-8:45am: Robot Inspection
8:45 am: Opening Ceremony and Event Meeting
9:00 to 12:00pm: Qualifying Matches, optional skills challenges
12:00 to 12:45pm: Lunch (Concession and Snack Stand Open All Day)
12:45 to 4:30pm: Qualifying matches and Elimination Matches. Skills will be open during qualifying rounds.

In the event of severe weather, coaches will be notified of event status. Updated information will be posted on this event page. 

Refund and Payment Policies

In the event of cancellation due to bad weather or unforseen circumstances, teams should contact Jim Muthig for a refund. 

No refunds after registration closes.  Teams with unpaid balances will be placed on the waitlist one week prior to event.

Refunds will be issued within two months of event date. All refunds are subject to a $5 RECF administration fee.

 

Judging Format

 

  •  Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions / In Person Team Interviews: Team interviews will be conducted in person at the event. Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact on RobotEvents.
  • The submission deadline for Engineering Notebooks is Monday January 13th at 6:00 PM.
