Code of Conduct

The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

For more details, please refer to the REC Foundation Code of Conduct and Student-Centered Policy. If you have concerns about compliance with the Code of Conduct, please speak to the Event Partner during the event.

Saturday, March 15th

7:30 am - Doors Open, Practice Fields Open, and Inspection Begins

8:20 am - Inspection Closes (Hard Deadline)

8:30 am - Opening Ceremony and Driver’s Meeting

9:00 am - Qualification Matches & Skills Begin

12:00 noon - Lunch

12:30 pm - Qualification Matches Resume

6:00 pm - Day Ends, clean up and start vacating the premises

6:30 pm - Facility closes. All teams required to vacate the premises

Sunday, March 16th

7:30 am - Doors Open

8:00 am - Qualification Matches & Skills Resume

12:00 noon - Qualification Matches & Skills End. Lunch Begins

12:30 pm - Alliance Selection Begins

1:00 pm - Eliminations Begin

3:00 pm - Award Ceremonies and Closing

3:30 pm - Day Ends, clean up and start vacating the premises. 

4:00 pm - Facility closes. All teams required to vacate the premises

This event is conducted in a fully indoor facility. Bad weather is not expected to affect this event.

Teams should make sure their contact information on RobotEvents.com is up to date and accurate. 

Please include in your contact information phone numbers that are also available on weekends (especially for schools), to enable us to reach you in an emergency.

In case of a cancellation, the event partners will contact you as early as possible. 

Refund and Payment Policies

It is each team’s responsibility to ensure that the payments have been processed in time. We will use the visible record of payment on robotevents.com to make the determination.

Teams who have registered but have not paid (or submitted a PO) 2-weeks prior to the event may be removed from the event, unless prior special arrangements have been made with the event partners.

In the unlikely case of a cancellation, the full event registration fee (minus the $5.00 USD RECF fee per registration) will be refunded to all teams.

All teams are responsible for their own transportation and hotel costs.

Health and Safety Policies

No food or drinks are to be consumed inside the event facility. Food and drinks are only allowed in designated areas.

Judging Format

Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions + In Person Team Interviews:

• Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the event.

• Engineering notebooks need to have been submitted digitally for evaluation via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact on RobotEvents.

• Submission deadline: March 8, 2025
