Welcome to the 2025 Southern New York State V5 Robotics Competition Middle School Championship hosted by John F. Kennedy High School and Coast 2 Coast Robotics!

Congratulations to all the teams that have qualified for this prestigious event! Your dedication, innovation, and teamwork skills have brought you to the pinnacle of the VEX Robotics competition in our region. Over the course of this championship, you'll have the opportunity to showcase your skills, compete with the best, and hopefully earn yourselves one of the covetted spots at the VEX World Championships.

Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

Richtlinie für not-/schlechtwettersituationen

Due to the size of this event, it will not be canceled in case of bad weather. Teams must use their own discretion on attending the event. Some suggestions are to come a day early or stay a day later to avoid traveling in poor weather.

In the event of catastrophic conditions and the tournament is unable to go on as scheduled, the financial obligations of the EP will first be honored and alternative options will be explored under consultation of the RECF.  

Refund and Payment Policies

As a general rule, refunds will not be issued if a team cancels. However, a partial refund may be possible if the spot can be filled. Any refunds will be processed after the event and at the Event Partner's discretion. Registration contains a $5 Robot Events processing fee that is not refundable.

Teams that qualify for the State Championship on or before January 31, 2025 will have two weeks to register and pay by credit card, check, or purchase order.

Teams that qualify for the State Championship on or after February 1, 2025 will have one week to register and pay by credit card, check, or purchase order. 

Qualified teams that have not paid by March 10, 2025 will be removed from the roster and that spot will be offered to the next eligible team from the Worlds Skills Standings. 

Unpaid teams will not be allowed to participate in the State Championship.

Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions / In Person Team Interviews:

The submission deadline is February 28, 2025. Any team that receives an invitation to register after February 28, 2025 must submit their digital notebook at the time of their registration.

  • Initial round interviews will be conducted virtually in the two weeks leading up to the event with final round interviews taking place on competition day.
  • Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact on Robot Events.
