The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

For more details, please refer to the REC Foundation Code of Conduct and Student-Centered Policy. If you have concerns about compliance with the Code of Conduct, please speak to the Event Partner during the event.

Richtlinie für not-/schlechtwettersituationen

We're early enough that we don't have to worry about snow, and the location has plenty of parking and space to stay indoors happily all day.  If weather presents a safety issue for your team, don't drive here!  The event will go on barring any major weather event!

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event:

Obviously, we don't want to cancel an event, but if we had to for some reason, I trust that each team will be responsible about communicating what they need. If you need a refund to make sure your team doesn't rock the boat with the business office, of course we'll help.  If not, we hope you'd consider it a charitable and appreciated donation to our program :)

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:

So.... please don't do this if at all possible. And if you do, please don't also ask for your money back... it's just so mid...amiright?  Nah... same as above.  Freaking out because admin is going to flip over the $55?  Let me know.

All refunds will be less the $5.00 fee retained by the RECF.

Judging Format

Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions / In Person Team Interviews: Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the event. Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation ahead of time via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact on RobotEvents. A submission deadline that may be scheduled ahead of the event date.
