Illini VEX Robotics is excited to host Illini Cornfield Clash Jr. presented by Prismier!​

This blended V5RC event takes place at the University of Illinois, Grainger College of Engineering Siebel Center for Design (SCD).

This event will take place on the UIUC campus and attendees must follow all University policies while on campus.

PARKING INFO (UPDATED 11/15/24)

PLEASE READ! We want everyone to have a smooth arrival and exit when on campus. 

 

Parking and Drop-off Instructions On Saturday, UIUC will host a football game on the south side of campus, leading to some road closures starting at 6:00 AM.

Road Closures: Avoid Kirby Ave and Peabody Drive. A map highlighting road closures (in RED) is attached for your reference.

We’ve designated specific parking and drop-off locations:

Lot A: Adjacent to SCD (limited parking), can be used for cars to drop off robots.

Lot B: Also limited parking but available for car drop-offs.

Lot C: Designated drop-off for large buses, located near an MTD bus stop for convenience. Parking for large buses in Lot B22 on University Ave between Goodwin St and the eastern boundary.

 

General public and parents, free weekend parking is available in the following lots:

Lot B1: Springfield Ave between Mathews Ave and Goodwin St.

Lot B17: Harvey St between Clark St and Main St. Lot B4: University Ave and Mathews Ave intersection.

Judging Format

This event will have In-Person Judging.

Notebooks:

Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to be judged. Notebook will be turned in upon check-in and will be returned before teams leave.

We also recommend that you include with your Eng Notebook the Innovate Award form to be considered for this award and other awards at this event

Judging

Each team will have an in-person interview in their pits. Some teams may be called to secondary interviews with judges.

Food/Concessions

A small Breakfast Bar with coffee and snacks will be open on location throughout the day: Espresso Royale Online Ordering (espressoroyalecu.com)

Food Trucks may be located just outside the venue on Springfield Ave. Details TBA
