Code of Conduct

The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

For more details, please refer to the REC Foundation Code of Conduct and Student-Centered Policy. If you have concerns about compliance with the Code of Conduct, please speak to the Event Partner during the event.

Agenda

Teams will be assigned a time-slot and arena. This may dictate your arrival time.

General Schedule (Subject to change):

• 3:30 PM              Doors Open, Check-in, Schedules
• 3:30-4:15             Inspection, and Practice (A Practice Arena available all evening)
• 4:15-4:25             Drivers meeting, Announcements and Introductions
• 4:30-:730             Skills Rounds (3 Auton + 3 Driver per team)
• 7:30                     Teams may leave once their attempts are complete.

Trophies will be awarded on the final League date to the top 3 middle school and top 5 high school teams.

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event: 

Tournament cancellation by the Host will result in a refund, less the $5 RobotEvent fees.

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:

If your team's vacancy cannot be filled from the Waitlist, a refund will not be issued.

Health and Safety Policies

• Simply put, if anyone on the team is ill or has symptoms of illness, please do attend the tournament.
• Should the health climate change, Porter County Health protocols will be followed.
