Code of Conduct

The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

Agenda

Thursday October 24 (first Thursday after fall break)
5:30 - 6:00: Nash and NGHS robotics set up field controllers and game pieces, other volunteers pull cafeteria tables to the hallway for “pits”
6:00 - 6:45: initial robot inspections; competition q&a; meet & greet
6:45 - 8:00: qualification matches, 2 per team (with skills on second field)
8:00 - 8:30: all teams cleanup and put away equipment and tables
Thursday October 31 (bye week - no league event)
Thursday November 7
5:30 - 6:00: Nash and NGHS robotics set up field controllers and game pieces, other volunteers pull cafeteria tables to the hallway for “pits”
6:00 - 6:30: quick robot inspections for any changes; additional competition q&a
6:30 - 8:00: qualification matches, 2.5 per team (with skills on second field)
8:00 - 8:30: all teams cleanup and put away equipment and tables
Thursday November 14

6:30 - 7:00: alliance selection
7:00 - 8:00: elimination matches (12 total)
8:00 - 8:15: awards ceremony and celebration
8:15 - 8:30: all teams cleanup and put away equipment and tables
