Allgemeine information

The Tennessee V5RC High School State Championship: High Stakes Edition will be held on March 14 & 15 at the Winfield Dunn Center on the campus of Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, Tennessee. The annual championship brings together the top VEX V5 Robotics Competition teams from all corners of Tennessee to celebrate their accomplishments and be crowned State Champions.

Teams will be invited to the State Championship from local qualifying events held in Tennessee by March 1, 2025.

  • Teams that qualify for the State Championship on or before January 31, 2025 will have two weeks to register and pay by credit card, check, or purchase order.

  • Teams that qualify for the State Championship on or after February 1, 2025 will have one week to register and pay by credit card, check, or purchase order.

  • Qualified teams that have not paid by February 28, 2025 will be removed from the roster and that spot will be offered to the next eligible team from the Worlds Skills Standings.

Any State spots not awarded at local qualifying events at the end of the season will be awarded to the next highest non-qualified Tennessee team from the World Skills List. Teams invited through the World Skills Standings are invited the week of March 3, 2025, in ranked order after the results of the last qualifying event in Tennessee has been posted. Skills scores earned after March 1, 2025 will not be used to qualify teams to the State Championship.

VEX Robotics World Championship

Teams earning one of the ten (10) Worlds Qualifying Spots at the Tennessee State Championship will be invited to compete in the VEX Robotics World Championship to be held in Dallas, Texas in May 2025. Additional spots may be allocated on or before January 17, 2025, based on team growth in Tennessee.

If a team double qualifies (wins multiple Worlds qualifying awards) at the State Championship, a VEX Robotics World Championship invitation will be awarded to the next highest team on the Robot Skills Challenge list at the Tennessee State Championship who did not win a qualifying award.

Teams will have two (2) weeks from receiving their VEX Robotics World Championship qualification invitation to register. Teams are encouraged to proactively seek approval from their educational institutions to make Worlds travel arrangements easier upon qualification. VEX Robotics World Championship event pages will be released in RobotEvents during the Fall of 2024.

Needs-Based Accomodations

Individual Recognition Award Nominations

There are many individuals in our Tennessee VEX Robotics community worthy of recognition. Please help us to honor one or more of those individuals by nominating them. Deadline for submission is February 28, 2025.

The Mentor of the Year Award recognizes a team mentor who has helped students achieve goals that were seemingly out of reach. This individual is a role model, a leader, and an extraordinary mentor who helps show students new ways to expand their knowledge and solve problems in the world of STEM.

The Teacher of the Year Award recognizes a teacher who shows true leadership and dedication to their group of students. The winner of this award continually exceeds expectations to ensure a safe, enjoyable, and educational experience for all students.

The Volunteer of the Year Award recognizes an individual at the root of each event who leads the effort to "make things happen.” Hosting a robotics event takes the collective effort of many people who give their time and effort for the sake of the participants. The Volunteer of the Year demonstrates a commitment and devotion to their community, putting in many hours of hard work with persistence and passion to make events happen.
