Welcome to Collier County Public School's V5RC High Stakes Tournament, hosted by Immokalee High School. 

  • Check-In begins when doors open at 7:45 and will close promptly at 8:45. Teams that are running late must contact the event partner.
  • Lunch will be provided and additional snacks and beverages will be available for purchase through a concessions stand.
  • A digital consent form for all participants must be completed on robotevents.com prior to arrival. Notebooks will be evaluated prior to the tournament. Make sure all links are up-to-date in RobotEvents by 2:00 PM on Monday October 28th.

Code of Conduct

The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

For more details, please refer to the REC Foundation Code of Conduct and Student-Centered Policy. If you have concerns about compliance with the Code of Conduct, please speak to the Event Partner during the event.

7:45 – Doors Open, Check-in and Inspections begin

8:45 – Check-in & Inspection Table Closes, Skills Field Opens

9:10 – Driver’s Meeting

9:30 – Qualifying Matches Begin

12:00 - 12:50 – Lunch Break - All teams must be on the field by 12:45 for after-lunch matches.

12:50 – Qualifying Matches Resume

3:30 – Qualifying Matches End - Skills fields will close at the end of qualifying matches.

3:40 - 3:50 – Alliance Selection

4:00 - 5:00 – Elimination Rounds

5:00 - 5:30 – Closing Ceremonies

Volunteers are the core of any successful robotics tournament! We are looking for volunteers to help as scoring referees, judges, and other additional roles. If you are interested in volunteering, please e-mail Fred Rimmler at [email protected] with the subject line "IHS VEX Volunteer". Thank You!

The event may be cancelled or postponed due to severe weather emergencies (Tropical Storm, Hurricane, Flooding). Teams will be refunded in the event of cancellation.

The event partner will contact teams if the event must be postponed or cancelled. Teams should make sure their contact information is up to date and includes both school and non-school phone numbers. 

Refund and Payment Policies

Refunds will only be issued in the case of an event cancellation.. Please only register robots/teams that intend to attend.

Due to the limited space for events, we will not issue a refund for any other reason.

Make sure you are familiar with the RECF Early Bird Registration policy before registering.

Payment deadline is October 28th.

Judging Format

Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions / In Person Team Interviews: Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the event. Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation  via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact on RobotEvents. The submission deadline is Monday October 28th, 2024 at 2:00 PM.
