This event (our third) will be held in the Mount Academy's beautiful, spacious and newly renovated Community Center.   We are located on the west bank of the Hudson River in Esopus NY: just off Route 9W and mid-way between the New Paltz and Kingston exits on the NYS Thruway.  

Free WIFI is available. Concession details to be announced closer to the date.

Code of Conduct

The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

Richtlinie für not-/schlechtwettersituationen

In the case of inclement weather, all team advisors will be contacted via email. While weather can be unpredictable, we will make a decision by 5:00am the day of the event, if not earlier. Up to date information will be available on WRRV Storm Center at https://wrrv.com/snow-closings-delays/ and at the Mount Academy website at www.mountacademy.org. Please check either website before you leave for the tournament.

In the event of a snow event or other postponement, we will make every effort to reschedule.

Refund and Payment Policies

Payment in full or a valid purchase order in RobotEvents must be provided two weeks prior to the event.

Refunds will only be issued to teams requesting registration cancellation 14 or more days prior to the event AND if the spot is filled with another team.

If the event is completely cancelled, partial refunds (less event partner expenses) will be processed by the event partner. The $5 Processing fee collected by the REC Foundation will be deducted from all refunds.  "

Judging Format

All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.
