Allgemeine information

Welcome to the 2025 Virginia Middle School VIQRC State Championship.  This is a one-day event held at the Nysmith School in Herndon, VA.   This event is free and open to the public.  We are looking forward to an exciting day of competition. Teams must qualify for the State Championship by participating in a regional event by March 2nd, 2025.  Teams qualify by winning Event Region Championship qualifying awards at a regional tournament or by invitation based on the highest skills scores posted in Virginia during the season.

Volunteering:

We are always in search of volunteers, who are the gears that keep robotics events turning, and are the driving force behind giving students in robotics the most positive experience. We invite you to volunteer.  Please contact the Event Partner if you would like to volunteer.

We have a few open positions related to queuing, pit monitor, and practice field monitor.  Please complete this sign-up form if you would like to volunteer.

Lunch:

We plan to have a food truck (and possibly a coffee truck) available for lunch.  There are also several fast-food restaurants in the area and several restaurants that deliver to the Nysmith School.

Participant Release Form:

A Participant Release Form/Consent Form must be completed and uploaded for each team participant (students, coaches, and mentors) prior to the event.  As a reminder, only those team members and coaches/mentors with a signed Participant Release Form/Consent Form will be allowed to participate.   Please take a few minutes to electronically sign your forms as soon as possible. Upon arrival, all team members, coaches, and mentors must sign in at the check-in table.  The check-in list will identify all participants who have signed forms available online as of Saturday, 8 March 2025.  Please take a few minutes to complete the forms as soon as possible.

Engineering Notebook:

Please turn in the team’s engineering notebook at the inspection table.  Teams with a digital engineering notebook must provide a physical copy.

Good Luck and we look forward to seeing you at the State Championship!
