Please join us for the Maryland VIQRC "Full Volume" 2024 Championship for Elementary School level, in Hagerstown, MD. This VIQC tournament is open to qualifying VEX IQ Competition Elementary School teams and will qualify teams for the World Championship.

If paying by check, please make payable to "South Hagerstown High School" and put Rebel Robotics on the memo laine.  Please bring the check to the event (or email for mailing address).

Code of Conduct

The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

8:15 AM - Check in and Inspection opens

All teams need to be checked in by 8:45 AM

9:15 AM - Event Meeting

9:45 AM – 12:30 Qualifier Matches

12:30 - 1:00 PM - Lunch Break

1:00 – 2:30 PM Qualifier Matches

2:40 PM - Finals (5 alliances - Top 10 teams in ranking)

3:00 PM - Awards

3:15 – Cleanup

Volunteers make robotics tournaments possible and are essential for providing these STEM learning opportunities for our friends and family. Please consider volunteering to help make this event a success.

Please note that the following volunteer link is for BOTH the ES and MS state IQ tournaments. The two tournaments will be held at South Hagerstown High School on Feb 24, 2024 in different locations in the building on a slightly staggered tmeframes.

Richtlinie für not-/schlechtwettersituationen

In the event of impending bad weather, Rebel Robotics will work with the school administration to determine if the event can be held on the regularly scheduled day and time. In the case of bad weather, the first choice will be to keep the event on the same day and alter the schedule. If that is not an option, due to the MD States being on March 9, 2024, this event cannot be resceduled and refunds will be issued to all teams. Updates will be provided via email and posted to the event webpage on RobotEvents.com.

Refund and Payment Policies

If the event is cancelled, teams will be given a full refund. Teams that drop out will be given a 50% refund if notified within two weeks of the event. Refunds are less the $5.00 RECF processing fee.

Health and Safety Policies

Currently, Washington County Public Schools does not require students, staff, volunteers, or spectators to wear masks when indoors.  If you are not feeling well, please do not attend the tournament, in an effort to keep everyone safe and healthy.

Buses and vehicles with trailers and/or equipment can turn to the right at the end of the drive to unload students and equipment in front of the main doors.  There is also plenty of parking for the buses and parents!

Judging Format

  • All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.
