<SG7> clarification

<SG7>

<SG7> states that robots may not have greater than momentary possession of more than one triball at once. Robots in violation of this rule must immediately stop all robot actions except for attempting to remove the excess triballs.

Suppose a robot was posted by the match-load zone launching match loads across the field and a team member accidentally drops a triball into a crevice on the robot. Does the act of launching the triballs count as removing excess or are we doomed for the rest of the match.

Teams should avoid scoring excess Triballs into Scored positions, such as their own Goal or Offensive Zone. In the scenario you describe, each Triball that is launched across the field would be considered a Minor Violation, at a minimum.

If the Team continues launching after being warned/notified by the Head Referee, the subsequent Triballs would be considered intentional Violations and/or multiple Minor Violations, either of which would necessitate escalation to a Major Violation.
