When using the sizing tool for robot inspection, if the robot width is exactly at 11" and fits flush against the sides of the sizing tool without bulging the sizing tool or any pieces of the robot, is that considered legal? Does a piece of paper need to fit between the robot and sizing tool to show it fits freely?

Fitting in the sizing tool
Answered by committee
Because the VEX IQ Robot sizing tool is built with IQ beams, the tool is "on pitch," and dimensions will be nearly exact. If a robot is designed to be on pitch and exactly 11" wide, it might slightly glide against the beams of the tool, which is fine. However, if there is any resistance, bowing, bending, etc. of the tool, the Robot does not meet the size requirements in rules <G5> and <R4>.
