VIQRC events with multiple divisions should now copy Worlds clarification

At the EP Summit it was announced that VIQRC events with multiple divisions should now copy Worlds, where each division has its own set of finals and then the winners play in an overall finals to determine the Teamwork Champions. Rule T17 does not seem to reflect that right now, it states:

“For tournaments that have more than 1 division, Teams will be ranked among all Teams in the event (i.e., there is no divisional ranking). The top Teams, regardless of division, will advance to the Finals Matches.”

Can you confirm how VIQRC events with multiple divisions should be run this season? As stated in the game manual, or as described at the EP Summit. Thank you!

Thank you for your question. For tournaments that have more than one (1) division, Teams will be ranked among all Teams in their specific division. Each division will have its own Finals Matches. The winners of each division will then have an overall event Finals. Any multi-division event must be approved by the REC Foundation EEM/RSM prior to the event, and divisions must be assigned in sequential order by Team number. This change will be reflected in the next game manual update.
