2011: Descoring more than two rings.

<SG6>

Rule SG6b states: b. Rings on a Stake are not included in a Robot’s Possession count. For the purposes of this rule, “on a Stake” means that the Ring meets the criteria for a Scored Ring, even if it is being contacted by a Robot.

My question is: If there is a stake, either on a mobile goal or a wall stake with more than 6 rings on it, may all rings be descored at the same time? Because they are scored, do they not count for possession? Or does a robot have to descore only two rings at a time?

Once a Ring is has been removed from a Stake, rule <SG6> immediately applies. If a Robot removes a stack of Rings from a Stake and is in Possession of more than two Rings, per rule <SG6>

... it must immediately stop all actions except for attempting to remove the excess Scoring Objects.

The strategy you describe, in which a Robot removes a large stack of Rings from a Stake in a single action, would be legal if the Robot is not in Possession of more than 2 rings at once.
