916: Autonomous Win Point Clarification

3885A
8-Nov-2021

During the event this weekend we had a discussion on what qualifies for the autonomous win point concerning the rings. After a bit of research, here is the issue

Page 7 - Game Description

An Autonomous Win Point is awarded to any Alliance that has Cleared their AWP Line and Scored at least one Ring on each Alliance Mobile Goal at the end of the Autonomous Period.

Page 20 - Table 3

An Autonomous Win Point is awarded to any Alliance that has Cleared their AWP Line, and Scored at least one Ring on or in each Alliance Mobile Goal,

These are different, Page 7 says the rings must be on aka on the post Page 20 says on (as above) or in aka in the base.

Which is correct please.

Answered by committee

An Autonomous Win Point is awarded to any Alliance that has Cleared their AWP Line, and Scored at least one Ring on or in each Alliance Mobile Goal,

This is correct, and is also found in the definition of Autonomous Win Point.

In general, the overview descriptions found in the Game Manual introduction are meant to be representative summaries, not definitive rulings. In the event of a conflict between an informal/supplemental material and a numbered rule, defined term, or Scoring definition, the rule/definition should take precedent.
