We have a student that has limited vision and up to this point has not had any issues but in the state tournament a referee scolded her for stepping a few steps to the side for a better view. Her visual field is only what is directly in front of her so stepping left or right a few steps is needed for stacking the cubes.

585: Are drivers allowed to move around in the driving field?
Answered by Game Design Committee
As a general rule, the Game Manual states the following:
<G7> Only Drivers, and only in the Alliance Station. During a Match, all Drive Team Members must remain in their Alliance Station.
Barring any extenuating circumstances, if the Head Referee determines that a Driver has stepped outside of the Alliance Station at any point, then providing a G7 warning is the correct reaction.
With that being said, the REC Foundation does provide accommodations for students with disabilities at official VRC events. Please contact [email protected] for an Accommodation Request Form and she will work directly with you to determine what accommodations can be made.
