Qualified teams will be able to register for the 2013 VRC World Championship once the results are officially posted from the tournament during which they qualified. If your team has qualified for the World Championship and has not received an email notification that it may now register, please have your adult team leader contact us so we can get all the event details to your team.

Criteria for teams to qualify for participation in the 2013 VEX Robotics Competition World Championship at official VEX Robotics Competition tournaments being held worldwide from May 2012 to March 2013 can be found in this document.

Getting Ready for the 2013 VRC World Championship
The Robotics Education & Competition Foundation has prepared a list of nine steps that every team should complete during their preparation process for World Championship. The list can be found here.

Teams are reminded to review the VEX Sack Attack Awards Appendix in preparation for the awards selection process. Teams eligible for the design and excellence awards and teams needing to pre-submit for awards, should visit the VEX World Championship Awards site.

The robot shipping information through GES, the World Championship decorator, can be found here. If you have any questions about the robot shipping information, please contact GES directly at 800-475-2098.

The REC Foundation is happy to provide VISA and invitation letters to teams. In order to process VISA and invitation letters, teams must complete two simple steps. First, the team should register and pay for the 2013 VRC World Championship. Next, the team contact should email the following information to support@robotevents.com: team name and number, the names and passport numbers of all team members and mentors, and the address of the VISA/Embassy office. All VISA/invitation letter requests should be submitted to the REC Foundation by January 31, 2013 to ensure proper time for processing. Requests submitted after January 31st will be processed as soon as possible, but may take 2 to 3 weeks.

Please note that the REC Foundation will not produce a separate letter for each team member. Instead, the foundation will produce a letter for the entire team and attach the list of team members and mentors.

Please remember that this agenda may change slightly based on final event details and team counts. Wednesday, April 17th is an optional day. If teams choose to arrive on Wednesday, they can check in, set-up their pit area and start the inspection process.

2013 Things I Wish I Had Known Before Attending the World Championship

A completed form for all participants must be turned in at check-in on Thursday of the event. Team leaders will need to collect the completed forms for all team members attending the World Championship and turn them in to the Pit Administration Registration window when checking in. Anaheim Convention Center Emergency Procedure Guidelines

The Anaheim Convention Center has food and snack outlets within the venue and there are several food outlets in the adjacent hotels, the Anaheim Marriott or Hilton Anaheim. There are also several food and snack options conveniently located within walking distance to the Anaheim Convention Center.

A sample Anaheim Convention Center concessions menu can be found here. Please remember that due to the rental terms of the Anaheim Convention Center, teams are not allowed to bring outside food or drink into the Anaheim Convention Center.

Make It Simple, Pre-Order Lunches
Teams can also pre-order their lunches through the Anaheim Convention Center. The lunch pre-order form can be found here. Orders must be placed by April 16th.

Northwest Designs will be on-site printing made to order custom event merchandise for the 2013 VRC World Championship. Teams can pre-order items through the official World Championship store located here.
