Event Description
This year we are proud to introduce something new, the VEX Robotics Competition College Challenge. For the 2008/2009 season we will be holding a single World Championship Tournament to pilot the new College Challenge. This exciting new program will open the VEX Robotics Competition to the many colleges and universities which already use VEX in their academic programs. It will also give students and post secondary educational institutions around the world a chance to put their engineering skills to the test, with a chance to become the 2009 VEX Robotics Competition College World Champion!
Teams will be playing the VEX Robotics game Elevation, but with some modified rules to let the college teams take their robots to a new level of complexity and performance. The specific rules for the Elevation game, along with the all important College Challenge specific guidelines (Appendix F) can be found at www.vexrobotics.com/vex-elevation.shtml.
