Event Description

This is a workshop sponsored by the Oregon VRC community.
Come and see the new Sack Attack field, learn something about building competition VEX robots, and brainstorm ideas for Sack Attack. Bring your VEX parts, your team members and your robots! Also bring money for food or pack your lunch.

There will be discussions for the topics below, followed by lab time to implement the ideas. During lab time, veteran teams will be in the lab providing help as needed.

Drive Trains

We will look at sample drive trains and discuss pros and cons for different options.

Arms

We will look at sample drive trains and discuss pros and cons for different options.

Programming Autonomous/ Tele op/ Competition Template

Teams will be able to write an autonomous program that uses timing, a Tele -op program that maps the controller to motors and then port these programs to the competition template.

Practice Tech Inspections

Teams will bring their robot to get a tech inspection to prepare for what to expect at the first event.

Practice Matches/ Alliance Selection

The Sack Attack field will be set up at the event. Teams will use their Competition Template and run practice matches.
We will also discuss the Alliance Selection process.
